Marty was from the last litter of Aust Ch/Grand Ch Bromhund Ellice QC. He was a wonderful moving dog and won many a best movement class.

Marty or "Daddy's Boy" as he was sometimes known, followed in his mother's paw prints by having a wonderful show career as did his litter sisters RIS winners Ch Carnmellis Loads A' Joy and Ch Carnmellis Loads A' Hope.  Marty won many Best of Groups, an All Breeds Best In Show and in 1994 went Best In Show at the Northern Weimaraner Club's show under Judy Colan, Colsidex, USA at the age of 11 months.

Marty was also a keen hunter and appeared in Woman's Day Magazine with a model.

Marty was the sire of some lovely progeny, the most successful in the show ring being BIS/BISS Grand Ch Carnmellis Nifty Nina, Ch Carnmellis Masterpiece.  Marty was the sire of SV Ch Carnmellis Kiri for Mimmtrix who was a No. 3 BIS winner in Sweden.  Another very successful show girl sired by Marty was Ch Holdfast Summer Fiction who when living with us quickly attained her title and a number of Best In Groups.

He was brought out of retirement for Waikato Gundog Club Champ Show at the age of 8 years, where he won Best Dog and went Reserve of Breed to his daughter Grand Ch Carnmellis Nifty Nina.
